“Rebekah, what is Butterfly pea flower tea exactly?”

Butterfly pea flower tea comes from an Asian blue pea flower called the pigeonwings.

As I said before, this tea is unique because it changes color as you brew it!

It can turn bluish to bright blue depending on the water’s pH—Tea Tip: I would suggest you see if you can have a clear glass teapot and make it in that to see how it changes.

Did you see how colorful it is? It’s incredible to see how this works right before your eyes.

Suppose you want to share 5 Benefits of Butterfly Tea Post; I am on Facebook as Tea Jubilee and like it and share it with your family and friends! I would love that 😉

Adding other ingredients such as lemongrass and spices can turn the color pink and even to a light purple. I know that people drink this tea, both cold or hot, especially after a meal, because it helps your gut out by making your stomach feel fuller, so you don’t want to snack after dinner.

This flower is potent, and here’s why and how. The butterfly pea flower is a sedative, stress-reducing, and memory-bosting flower.

You can find this tea at high-end hotels and spas in Vietnam or Thailand, and I have heard they are good. I would love to hear if you try this tea and if it’s as good as many say.

Here is 1 Recipe for you.

Brew butterfly pea flower the right way to get the best tea flavor. If you have dry blue flowers in a loose form, here are the steps to brew them properly.

  1. Boil 6 cups of water in a saucepan.
  2. Remove water from the heat.
  3. Add four teaspoons of loose butterfly pea flower into the saucepan.
  4. Steep for 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the color and flavor you want.
  5. Strain the tea and pour it into a jug.
  6. Pour the tea into cups and add lemon juice, honey, or mint.

Side Note: If you want to enjoy cold tea, let the beverage in the jug cool down before placing it in the fridge. Place ice cubes into the glass before pouring the tea.

“Is Blue Tea A New Concept?”

No, blue tea has been around in the market for ages. Thanks to popularisation through travel blogs and shows, blue tea leaves are becoming more easily and widely available in stores and supermarkets.

They are regularly being purchased by tea connoisseurs worldwide for their various health benefits and uses.

Blue tea was available in the market earlier, too, as Oolong or Black dragon tea, but it has only gained popularity very recently; that’s why reading 5 Benefits of Butterfly Tea is excellent!

So that when someone asks you about this tea, you can be smart and talk all about what you read from this post 🙂

Uses Of Blue Tea And Where It Is Found.

The butterfly-pea is also known as blue pea or pigeonwings, and it is a plant familiar to most Southeast Asian countries. The deep blue color of the flower’s petals has traditionally been used to make dye. The tea is popular in Thailand and Vietnam, where it is served post-dinner, usually with lemon and honey. Adding lemon juice to the tea changes the pH of the drink, making it change color from deep blue to purple.
