Best Teas For Stress Relief.
Hello, I am hoping your day is off to a wonderful, stress-free start. But,
Life can be stressful. Finding a quiet place to enjoy a delicious cup of tea provides a much-needed break. But how do you choose which tea variety is best?
Keep reading Best Teas For Stress Relief to learn about teas that can help you the next time you feel stressed out.
What is STRESS?
Stress can be introduced as an emotional feeling of tension. It is a body’s reaction to a challenge or demand. And stress impacts us in either a positive or negative way.
Common life stresses include the death of a loved person, an increase in financial obligations, or losing a job. Other stressors include chronic illness or failing an exam. In fact, emotional problems like anxiety, guilt, and depression often play a part, too. A calming tea may bring comfort.
However, even though these reactions are beneficial to manage the situation, they produce problems, too. In fact, over time, these often cause high-risk health issues like heart disease, depression, and anxiety. Stress also contributes to obesity, high blood pressure, and diabetes. So, it is important to manage stress to help prevent these kinds of serious health conditions.
If you can manage the stress with a cup of tea, don’t you want to try it?
Over time, people have introduced different teas to today’s beverage market. These teas and their blends help manage various kinds of health situations. Marketing campaigns often tout these potential benefits.
In reality, how can a cup of tea manage your stress condition? The answer lies in its precious components and their healing qualities. To accommodate the ever-present need, experts and holistic practitioners developed tea blends by combining herbs, spices, and teas from countries around the world. Often, these blends contain ingredients rich in healing properties.
Cortisol, our body’s main stress hormone, serves to fuel the body under stress. Having an excessive amount of Cortisol may lead you to have less sleep as it disturbs the normal sleeping cycle. Hence, stress-relieving teas contain herbs, spices, and teas that help reduce the level of Cortisol in your body.
Some herbal teas may help to avoid occasional stress, and some may be better to use as a routine complementary therapy. Finding suitable herbal tea for you can take some time as you will have to consume it and wait to see the benefits. Although herbal teas are always safe to consume than supplementary capsules, oils, and tinctures, it is suitable to get advice from your doctor before adding it to your daily routine.
The best teas for stress relief include the following.

The bittersweet mixed nutty, floral taste in Green tea may cause you to have it as your daily cup of tea.

Thank you for sharing this article with us about teas what can help with stress relief. I love my cup of tea, and I have to agree that even certain smells can help to reduce stress. As you write Peppermint is one of those smells what can calm you down and it one of the teas I like too. I also use oils in defusers to help reducing stress which I find helpful too.
The images in your article are so beautiful, and it makes me keen to make a cup of tea right away. I love the look of the cup of tea with purple leaves fresh Lavander? I have never seen this used in tea like that and I didn’t know you use it like that. Is that a particular variation of lavender what is safe to eat?
I often use fresh lemongrass out of the garden, which I enjoy tea.

Thanks for reading, Jude. Yes, lavender can be used in teas and is sometimes included in foods and as a garnish. It’s beautiful when added to desserts or in a drink such as lemonade.

Tea is a great way to help with many ailments, this list is a good one for stress. I was surprised that Lemon Balm (Melissa) isn’t on it. It is good for so many different conditions and tastes quite nice. That is the problem I, they don’t always have a good taste, in fact some can only be described as gross.
Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, Lemon Balm is another good tea for stress and I also love the aroma and flavor of it. I might need to add that to the article.

Your website caught my eye because of its lovely layout and the beautiful images. As I am a tea-drinker as well, so I thought it would help if I comment on your page. Interesting list of stress relief teas you have here. The holy basil one is what caught my attention because I didn’t realize that there’s such a kind. I mostly use holy basil for dishes, and its fragrance alone is enough to lift the flavor of any food. So, I’m assuming that if its tea version carries the same olfactory sensation, then that’s enough to lighten one’s mood.
Yes, Holy Basil does indeed function much the same as a tea, with the delicious aroma. Try ita nd let me know how you like it.
