Rose Tea.

Welcome to Tea Jubilee. If you are new to my site, I welcome you with open arms and a hot cup of tea in hand.

Rose tea is known to be such a blessing, and it impacts your gut the right way, unlike some teas that might make you feel sick with all the extra additives in the tea.

I hope you enjoy this article, and I will have links at the end for further reading. So, with all that being said, Let’s learn more about Rose tea.

What is Rose Tea exactly?

Roses are one of the oldest flowers globally. They are such beautiful flowers; you can make them into a tea well!

They are the kind of plant that helps you relax and unwind from a busy day. Rose tea is not a new tea at all; it’s been used for such a long period.

They are also often used in the kitchen, especially in Middle Eastern, Indian, and Chinese cuisine. This flower is added to cakes, jams, and confections.

This tea is considered as a potential remedy for many things like:

  1. Stomach problems
  2. improve, and you fall asleep faster
  3. Irritability and even mood swings after a long day.
  4. Menstrual cramps.

The Potential Health Benefits of Rose Tea

Rose tea has many Vitamins and antioxidants in the tea you make. It’s free of high levels of caffeine, and it doesn’t have any sugar (Unless you want some) or even calories.

This tea also has Vitamin E and C., which is very good for you as well. And the best thing is, those are the best kinds of vitamins to get from a drink. They help your skin become healthier.

Research has found several other health benefits from drinking rose tea; let’s see what those are.

This Tea Helps Your Immune System.

As I said before, this tea has high levels of vitamin C, which is a vital vitamin for health; here’s why:

You can find vitamin C in many things, such as Apple juice and orange Juice. And many other drinks. But the issue for those is they are high in sugar content. If you want to have something that isn’t high in that, this tea might be perfect for you!

Rose tea is known to have many healing benefits in medical and healthy ways.

The rose family has many different kinds of roses, and each of them has its ways of helping us out. These flowers are edible as well. (Ever heard of Rose milk?) My brother once had a glass of it at a fancy restaurant, and I had some, and let me say it’s not that good to me.

I know some would disagree with that statement; those are my honest thoughts. Roses are the best flowers to have in your garden; they can bring many butterflies, and you can cook with rose hips as well. But what this flower is known for is Tea.

Rose is known to taste sweet, while others are bitter as well.  And I know that some like their tea bitter. I’m one of those kinds of people.

This tea is a very aromatic, herbal beverage made from the petals and buds of rose flowers. You can get them from a garden near you, or you can buy them online as well.

Naturally caffeine-free

Yes, you read this right! This tea has zero caffeine, and that means it can be enjoyed any time of your day.

Many hot drinks we have may contain caffeine; this means coffee, tea, or hot chocolate; these drinks do contain some caffeine.

Though caffeine offers some positive effects, including reduced fatigue, alertness, and increased energy levels, some people prefer to avoid it or even cannot tolerate the side effects of this drink.

Here’s what I mean by what I just said.

Caffeine can increase your blood pressure, and for some, that can be deadly! Caffeine can also cause feelings of anxiety for some people, and that’s the last thing some need in their life.

Rose tea is naturally caffeine-free and could be an excellent replacement for some of the more common hot or cold caffeinated drinks you know of.

Still, keep in mind that some rose teas can blend regular caffeinated tea and rose petals, so if you want a caffeine-free tea, be sure to choose 100% rose petal tea.

It helps you hydrate and lose weight.

Boy, this is something my mom would love to read. She is always telling me and some of my other siblings to drink more water and keep drinking.

And she’s right; water does help, and some teas can help as well. This drink is one of them.

Rose tea is made up of mostly water. For this reason, drinking one or three cups daily can help significantly contribute to your total water intake during the day.

As you probably know already, not drinking enough water throughout the day can lead to lousy dehydration, And we know that being dehydrated can cause.

Fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps, low blood pressure, and rapid heart rate aren’t suitable for anyone, no matter your age.

But, it’s essential to get enough water throughout your day by eating water-rich foods (Watermelon, anyone?) and drinking cold, plain water; even some teas can help, But don’t rely on just tea.

I know that some would say Coffee is great to have, but if you are dehydrated already, Coffee isn’t the best thing to have; stick with cold, plain water for now.

Staying hydrated is a big key to your health, and Rose tea is primarily made up of water, which helps you out big time! Drinking is an excellent way to increase your fluid intake, which may also aid in weight loss.

Rose Tea is rich in antioxidants, too.

This tea is also rich in anthocyanins, which comprise 10% of its total phenol content. These are colored pigments associated with good urinary tract and even your eye health, and this rose tea can also improve your memory.

However, it’s important to note in this post that hot water cannot extract all of the antioxidants in rose petals. Rose petals have extracts that boost excellent antioxidant activity in your body.

Rose tea is super rich in many things, such as polyphenols, gallic acid, and quercetin. These antioxidants can help neutralize free radicals and contribute to good health.

It may help relieve menstrual cramps.

Did you know that Menstrual cramps affect girls by causing vomiting, back pain, headaches, and even diarrhea? I know that more than some women prefer to deal with this pain with things such as ibuprofen.

I get headaches, and it’s like I have the flu (Not fun, by the way)

But it’s just that time of the month, so I am the one who will be asking my mom if I can take something to help me out.

What if we tried something else? Something Better? Rose tea is the tea, as well as Ginger and red raspberry tea. And many more.

If you want my tea tip, girls, try some Ginger or Chamomile tea with a heating pad on your belly; it’s a lifesaver for me.

What else?

Drinking hot rose tea before and during a menstrual period may reduce the pain and some psychological symptoms.

I know that some study results are promising, but only the effects of particular species of rose extracts, isolates, and oils have been tested.

What else can I do with roses?

Besides drinking this as tea, you can use it in food. There are many recipes on the web that you can use rose petals in them, or, as I said, They’re used in some milk, too.

You can use this in cooking and essential oil (Blessing to me), rose water, teas, and rose oil extracts; you can even use rose powder for your skin!

Preparing rose tea is straightforward.

You could use either fresh or dried rose petals. In this case, please ensure that the petals are all pesticide-free. It’s advised not to use roses from florists or nurseries, as these are often treated with those pesticides.

If you’re making tea from rose petals, you will need about 2 cups of washed petals. Boil them with 3 cups of water from your tap; boil that for a little bit of 5 minutes. And once finished, strain the petals into the teacups you love to have for tea time and just sit back and enjoy the benefits.

If you are using dried petals or buds, place only one teaspoon of this tea in a small cup and steep it in some boiling water for about 10–15 minutes. Many tea brands may have you use different times for steeps or even how long to boil the water.

The tea can be drunk as is or sweetened with a touch of honey or sugar. The flavor will be light, subtle, and floral and can range from bitter to sweet, But it depends on the variety of roses you buy.

Rose tea can be prepared by steeping fresh or dried petals in hot water. As I said before, if you are using fresh flowers, ensure they’re free of pesticides.
