Nature is in full bloom, and this may be beautiful, but nothing is impressive about a runny nose, nasal congestion, and even some red and itchy eyes; don’t forget about sneezing (ugh).

If you know someone suffering from seasonal allergies, know that you’re not alone! Many people experience intense hay fever symptoms at least once in life.

The good news for allergy sufferers is this! I have a list of teas that can help you out! Yes, I said teas. I have six teas that you can try out anytime and get rid of allergies.

Some teas may help you fight off the annoying symptoms from heavy allergy season. So, before we read about the five teas that help us out, let’s first read up on what allergies are.

Allergy is not only a pain sometimes, with the coughing and runny nose and all that fun stuff. I have dealt with these things, and I tried some of the nettle tea, and within a few days, I was back to myself.

When do you get allergies?

There is no age or days; most of the allergies hit during the start of spring, summer, and early autumn. All though seasonal allergies may not be life-threatening, they can make it seem like you are dealing with a cold.

What kind of teas help get rid of allergies?

I am so glad someone is asking that question! We know that some teas can help relieve the problem of frequent heavy allergies. Solid anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity in your body may help boost the immune system and reduce the risk or severity of hay fever.

But not so fast; when trying to find the best tea, there are so many teas that some claim is “The best for allergies.” But do you trust them? Teas with antihistamines in them may be the best choice.

To get the best benefits, drinking your tea is also essential.

A single cup of tea may not be enough—still, regular drinking habits. And the best of drinking these teas every day is you might forget about even having allergies because the teas you drink to get rid of any allergies tea is known as a type of medicine in some countries! In China is one of the biggest that the Chinese people see tea as a healing drink.

So drink any green teas you think would help you out; I drink green tea almost daily. It’s best for me because being in karate and going to be a CNA soon; I need the energy during the day.

So maybe drink it when you want a boost your energy levels.

The excellent health benefits of green tea are far from a mystery. While many tea drinkers look for antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activity, this type of tea is fantastic!

I looked into this fact before I started writing this article, and Green tea can help fight off cancer or stop cancer before it’s on scans.

I know that studies suggest that green tea is a natural antihistamine, and that’s great to hear. Right? This tea is a medicine that can help treat allergies.

Benifuki cultivar is rich in a specific kind of EGCG catechin that may provide a robust anti-allergic effect.

Stinging Nettle?

Yes, you just read this right, Stinging nettle (The little weeds that grow everywhere and sting your feet like thousand pins on your toes) I can imagine your face thinking I’m crazy..but here’s why I said to make this (painful) tea.

Yes, make this plant into tea! this plant is excellent to help treat allergies, and honestly, I had this tea a few years ago, and I was shocked when I had it, and it tasted terrific!

After a few sips, I was now in love with this tea. And now, It doesn’t sting your mouth. Don’t worry

Stinging nettle is a plant usually growing like a weed but famous for its medicinal purposes. Nettle contains histamine, serotonin, and acetylcholine.

Stinging nettle has a flavor similar to leafy green vegetables, with an overly earthy-sweet note. Studies suggest that nettle may help relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Avoid drinking stinging nettle if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Licorice root

Sweet, delicious, stomach-soothing, mood-lifting, and great for allergies too – licorice roots are much more. Studies suggest that glycyrrhizic acid, an essential active ingredient in licorice root, may provide significant anti-allergic activity. It may help with allergic rhinitis and other allergic reactions too.

Licorice is one of the herbal ingredients that you should only take this in small doses in small doses.

Tulsi

Tulsi or Holy basil is not only a fantastic adaptogen that may help with all sorts of stress, but it also shows an antihistaminic activity. Holy basil is an herb similar to basil. I mean, reread the name of this tea. Lol.

This tea has a distinctive basil-like flavor. And holy basil has a great smell as well. It’s available in loose leaf and tea bags. You can find those on Amazon as well.

Holy basil is one of the main ingredients in so many teas in India. And many studies seem to point to this herb to help get rid of allergies. Holy Basil has many reasons to try it out, but here’s the biggest reason. This tea has inflammatory health benefits.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm or Melissa officinalis is similar to mint but with a more aromatic, less minty, and light lemony flavor. Melissa is often used for garnishing and making tea.

It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory properties. Lemon balm may help improve your mood and cognitive function. The traditional uses of lemon balm and lemon balm oil include relieving the symptoms of allergies.

Rooibos tea.

Rooibos or its other name is. Red bush tea is a South African plant used for flavor and medicinal purposes. This fantastic plant may provide many potential health benefits and is often used as a caffeine-free replacement for honest tea. Rooibos tea contains both quercetin and luteolin; these two compounds block the release of histamines, which causes allergies.
